Highlights
- X20P GNSS Receiver Variants: Added dual-antenna heading support for u-blox ZED-X20P variants.
- MX5 GNSS Receiver Variants: Resolved intermittent issues affecting heading stability, dual-antenna behavior and GNSS status reporting.
- Configuration Resilience: Fixed intermittent reset events when changing device settings.
New Features and Improvements
INS Manager
- GNSS Satellite View: Resolved an issue where the satellite display alternated between internal and external GNSS sources when an internal Aries receiver and an external GNSS receiver are both active.
- Dual Antenna Configuration: Removed references to Dual Antenna Configuration packet as it has been consolidated into the Aiding Sources Configuration Page.
- Aiding Source Status Packet Rates: Support configuration of ANPP 95 Aiding Source Status in packet rates.
Sensor Fusion Algorithms
- Sensor fusion robustness: Improved IMU data handling to avoid triggering filter resets which occasionally occurred during sensor over-range.
- Configuration Resilience: Fixed intermittent reset events when changing device settings.
Sensors and Aiding Sources
- X20P GNSS Receiver Variants: Added dual antenna heading support for the u-blox ZED-X20P GNSS receiver.
- NMEA External GNSS Solution: When NMEA0183 ZDA, GGA, and RMC messages are received from an external GNSS receiver, their information is now combined to generate an external GNSS position, velocity, and time solution. Note that NMEA0183 does not provide vertical velocity information. Satellites information from the GSV message can also be viewed.
Communication Packets and Protocols
- External NMEA GST Input: Added support for NMEA0183 GST message input from external GNSS receivers, enabling position accuracy data to be used alongside GGA position strings.
- NMEA Output Improvements: Improvements to NMEA0183 output reliability, including checksum calculation, GSV message sequencing, and HDT heading output precision.
- NMEA Input Robustness: Improvements to NMEA0183 input parsing reliability, including HDM message support.
Bug Fixes
Sensors and Aiding Sources
- Teledyne DVL Integration: Corrected velocity sign convention for Teledyne DVL velocity inputs.
- Dual-Antenna Disconnect: Corrected an issue where dual-antenna heading and raw GNSS tilt and heading status remained active after the secondary antenna was disconnected on MX5 equipped units. (relates to ANPP packets 29, 93)
Communication Packets and Protocols
- NMEA GST Output: Resolved an issue where NMEA0183 GST was not output in some circumstances.
- External Heading Standard Deviation: Resolved an issue where incorrect heading standard deviation was used for NMEA0183 HDT external heading inputs.
Stability
- Hot-Start: Improved hot-start reliability.
- Aiding Source Status: Corrected an issue where an aiding source could be reported as valid in the Aiding Source Status packet after it went offline.
Known Issues
- Issue with old units: Units purchased before October 2020 will see a "Systems Error" message after updating the device firmware through INS Manager. (You can revert to an older release). For these units, we recommend contacting AdNav support to discuss options.
