Connector Pin-out

Power and data connection is made through a single MCBH8M connector. The connector pin-out is shown below in Subsonus MCBH8M connector. The mating connector is a MCIL8F. Advanced Navigation stocks an MCIL8F mating connectors with 10 metres of cable to an RJ45 Ethernet connector. There are extension cables available, see Part Numbers and Ordering

There are two options available to power the unit. It can either be powered using PoE (Power over Ethernet) or it can be powered from a DC source. See PoE (Power over Ethernet) Pin-out and DC Power Pin-out respectively. The system can be connected either way and it automatically determines the power source method. The evaluation kits are powered using the PoE method.
